LuAnn Ostergaard’s artwork is a practice of transformation—an alchemy of light and texture. Ostergaard often uses found objects and richly layered photographs printed with pigment inks on fine art cotton paper, mounting and hand-texturing each piece to give it a distinct physical presence. “Every image I capture and use is a conversation—between past and future, shadow and light, the visible and the invisible,” she says.
