Mai Mai Pietrowski is a Boston-based contemporary painter known for her vibrant, color-driven landscapes inspired by the natural world. A masterful colorist, she creates original paintings that balance bold, saturated hues with soft neutrals, exploring the dynamic interplay of light, shadow, pattern, and form. Her work captures the restorative beauty of nature, offering collectors uplifting, hope-filled artwork designed to bring serenity and energy into the home. Deeply influenced by imagination, travel, and her connection to the outdoors, Mai Mai draws inspiration from places such as Acadia National Park, Provence, Key West, the Caribbean, and Cape Cod. Her paintings transform these landscapes into expressive, design-forward compositions that blend realism with a sense of dreamlike possibility. Through thoughtful juxtaposition of shapes and patterns, she creates contemporary nature paintings that feel both structured and organic. Based in Boston’s South End at SOWA, Mai Mai is a Juried Member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) in New York. She is also a member of the Cambridge Art Association and Fort Point Arts. Her work has been exhibited at Prince Street Gallery in New York City, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the Zullo Gallery, and numerous additional galleries and cultural institutions throughout Massachusetts and New York. Her artwork is held in private collections in France, Switzerland, and across the United States. Mai Mai’s art education includes master classes with Margaret Gerding and coursework at the Danforth Art Museum and School. She also holds an MBA from Babson College and a BA from Bridgewater State University. Her contemporary landscape paintings appeal to collectors seeking vibrant, nature-inspired fine art that radiates optimism, renewal, and timeless beauty.
