Margot Carr is a painter inspired by the cobalt blue skies and cadmium green lawns of the East End of Long Island, as well as the ocean vistas and hedgerows of Florida. Her work seeks to capture fleeting moments of sunlight across oceans, marshes, lawns, and architecture - inviting the viewer into a shared experience. The artist often leaves areas intentionally open or abstract, encouraging others to complete the scene through their own imagination and emotional response.Before dedicating herself fully to art, she built a dynamic career in creative and executive roles - as Managing Director of production companies, and as COO of both an architectural firm and a software technology firm.Since 2022, Margot has embraced life as a full-time artist and art teacher - a long-awaited chapter where she can fully explore and share the joy of painting.
