I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I have worked in several mediums from oils and acrylic to watercolor and watercolor pencil; the latter, due to ease in transporting materials and working on site, has become one of my favorites. After graduating from Case Western in Ohio with a degree in electrical engineering, I worked for the next five years as a computer programmer. I soon became restless for something new, something more creative. In the late 70's I received a scholarship to attend the University of Perugia, in Perugia, Italy to study art for a year. My love for watercolor, architecture and nature was developed at that time. I was even able to pay for some of my European travels by selling my work.Hopefully what you will see in my work is a great appreciation for God’s creation and the talent he gave to me. Like Miles Davis said, “sometimes it takes a long time to sound like yourself”. I believe I am finally on the right track to pursue my art full time.
