Marlene Koenig is a multidisciplinary artist working across a range of mediums, from acrylic painting to encaustic. Inspired by myth, magic, and the natural world, her practice is deeply rooted in philosophy and Eastern spirituality. Koenig's work reflects shared universal experience revealing the ways all living things mirror one another through spirit, symbolism, and interconnectedness. Through layered color, intuitive mark-making, and a dance between loose abstraction and intricate detail, Koenig weaves symbols into luminous, dreamlike imagery. Her compositions invite the viewer into visual depth and emotional resonance, creating spaces that feel both mystical and familiar-where inner worlds and natural worlds meet. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States, from the Miami Museum of Modern Art to the Zipper Factory in Brooklyn, New York, and is held in private collections around the world. Koenig has also h a d t h e pleasure o f creating large-scale mural projects ranging from commissioned works in private homes to expansive public artworks in shared spaces-bringing her immersive visual language into environments that invite connection, reflection, and wonder.
