Mary Anne Reilly studied at the Corcoran School of Art (Printmaking and Painting), received a BFA from the University of Dayton, receiving a Special Achievement Award years later, and also studied at the Louvre and Shiller College in Paris, where she received the Rene Cassin Award. Reilly’s paintings are about texture and they generally pertain to her environment -- the landscapes, cityscapes and water views that surround her. Her style is reminiscent of neo-post impressionism, but the feeling expressed in her work is all her own.Mary Anne has participated in some 25 solo exhibitions and over 120 group shows both nationally and internationally in such places as Paris, Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Kiev, New York, Washington, London, Middleburg, VA, Palm Beach, FL, Annapolis, MD, and Ireland, winning many awards. Her paintings hang in many public and private collections. “Reilly has an innate sense of what the neoimpressionists were trying to do, and she's chosen to develop her incredible skill along with this very personal path. Hers is a very inspired communication with nature. Spring is all too fleeting, but with a painting of Mary Anne's, it gets to stay a bit longer.”-Bill Dunlap Painter and host of WETA's Around Town, Washington, D.C.
