Miriam Peralta (b. 1957, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a respected contemporary artist celebrated for her rigorous and introspective approach to drawing and mixed-media work. Trained at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, Peralta has developed a visual language centered on line, rhythm, and the expressive potential of graphite, ink, pencil, and pastel on paper. Her work often features complex, spiral-like networks and tangram-inspired forms that evoke both organic structures and philosophical reflection.Peralta’s career spans decades of exhibitions and recognition. She has shown work in a variety of gallery and fair contexts, including Art on Paper New York, PINTA Miami, and group and solo presentations at galleries such as Artemisa Gallery. Her participation in The Never Ending Line exhibition alongside Julián Terán highlights her ongoing engagement with contemporary dialogues around line and abstraction.Her work has been honored with multiple awards, including the Grand Prize for Painting from Banco Provincia(Buenos Aires), accolades from the Salón del Sur of the City of Buenos Aires, distinctions from the Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales at the Palacio de Glace in Buenos Aires, and the Salón Nacional Fundación Avon.
