M.S. Park was born in Eum-Sung, Chung-Buk, Korea in 1951. Park began his art career at the age of 26. He was encouraged to develop his artistic skills by a family friend. This is when he started to sketch in seascapes, landscapes and garden scenes. Once he was sure he wanted to become a full-time artist Park began formal training in 1977 at the I.A.D. Company in Korea near his hometown. There he started to experiment in oil painting. His paintings provoke contemplation among viewers by encouraging them to celebrate the beauty of Mother Nature’s vibrant colors and deep textures. The personality of the artist is reflected within an element of spirituality and sacredness in the tranquil atmosphere captured in his paintings. M.S. Park is a very quiet and introverted soul, preferring to read books and listen to music in his off-hours. M.S. Park loves the color of nature, it is expressed in all of his artwork. He is best known for his detailed original paintings of beautiful seascapes, lush gardens and traditional woodland landscapes, full of detail, intense color and deep textures. Parks awe-inspiring original landscape oil paintings exemplify an exquisite use of natural light. Today he travels the globe exhibiting his works. His undying love for painting and his astounding talent have made him very successful in both the United States and Korea. M.S. Park is a member of Korean Art Association and has exhibited at the Korea Artists Exhibition in Seoul and at the Inchon Cultural Center. While traveling throughout the United States, he frequently sketches dynamic American landscapes that will later become captured on canvas. His artwork is displayed in select fine art galleries as well as many private collections in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and the United States.
