Born in southern Hungary, Norbert migrated to the U.S., served in the Navy, pursued a degree in Art History and then moved again to Southeast Asia to become a Tibetan Buddhist Monk. These diverse experiences are reflected in his spirited paintings, all aiming simply to provoke thought and spread happiness. The artist's work, described as "tropical primitive," is a blend of bright colors and imaginative themes, reflecting his journey and life in Key West. His style can be described as a blend of folk and pop art with a sense of magical realism, making his artwork feel both fantastical and approachable. Today, Norbert lives full-time in Key West, where he continues to evolve his unique style of using house paint and paint pens on wood.
