Ornélie is a French artist, figurative sculptor, born in 1983.With her training at the Gobelins school in Paris, and her experience in animated cinema as a drawing animator on numerous feature films, she approaches sculpture as an autodidact, at the crossroads between volume and illustration. In her quest for aesthetics, and through her feminine creatures with a unique style, she develops a universe as surreal as it is romantic, pop and baroque. Her work is very imbued with her cinema and animation culture, but she also gladly draws her influences from classical painting, literature, and comics.By playing on the codes of the cabinet of curiosity, her sculptures are as many passages towards his fantasized dreams of eras, as they are of Gothic and Victorian visions. All her sculptures are unique and original pieces, entirely modeled in polymer clay, including the eyes and insects, as well as fabrics, laces, and embroideries. In recent years, she has won many art awards (Lunar codex, Beautiful Bizarre, Infected By Art, Art Renewal Center), and her work is the subject of numerous publications. She exhibits in France and in USA, and she currently lives in Dinan, Brittany.
