Pablo Boneu (b. 1969, Córdoba, Argentina) is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist whose work crosses photography, sculpture, and handmade textile interventions. Boneu’s practice is defined by a conceptual curiosity and an experimental approach to materials — from layered photographic prints to woven threads that extend beyond their frames — inviting viewers into a sensory, time-based experience that reveals deep observation beneath the surface.Self-taught and broadly exploratory, Boneu’s artistic production has developed through sustained studio work and exhibitions, allowing him to generate a distinctive visual language that blurs traditional boundaries between image, object, and structure. His pieces often juxtapose ideas of serial repetition with handcrafted fetish-like presence, producing works that are internally coherent yet endlessly open to interpretation.Boneu has shown his work widely in gallery and museum contexts across Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, and the United States. His solo exhibition Threads Unveiled was featured at Artemisa Gallery in New York in 2018, and his projects have been exhibited at venues including Centro Cultural Recoleta (Buenos Aires), Centro de la Imagen(Mexico City), and galleries in Berlin and São Paulo. He has also participated in international art fairs such as Art on Paper (New York).Boneu’s work is held in private and institutional collections and has been the subject of critical engagement for its poetic exploration of perception, repetition, and materiality. He currently lives and works in Mexico City, continuing to expand his practice across multiple mediums and conceptual frameworks.
