“Pedro Fuertes creates strong and durable work in search for that prediction from an old teacher, that of becoming a great artist.” Adept at portraying ontological arguments through visual art, Peruvian artist, Pedro Fuertes, begs viewers to explore the blurred boundary of what is real. By honing his mastery of artistic techniques into his own style of Abstract Surrealism, Fuertes creates work that is each time simultaneously more abstract and more surreal. With interests and affections for the sea, warriors, mythical battles, and far more, Fuertes masterfully crafts a refreshingly unique world with every piece. In abandoning the constraints of shapes, yet not entirely, and capturing real objects and ideas, yet not entirely, he creates a space where viewers can experience an imaginative break from reality as they know it without complete, reckless abandonment.
