Peggy Everett, began her formal training under the tutelage of Russian portrait painters, Roman and Constantin Chatov in her home town of Atlanta, Georgia. In the 1990’s, Everett bought a working ranch in Colorado along the Colorado River. Inspired by the plein air movement she painted western landscapes, wildlife, horses, Indians, and ranch life. Everett studied abstract art at the New York Studio School under Esteban Vencete, Joseph Santore, and Graham Nickson. She studied Representational Art at the Art Students league of New York, Art Students League of Denver, and The Florence Academy of Fine Art in Florence, Italy, The Hermitage Group in Colorado. She studied modern and contemporary landscape painting under Clyde Aspevig and Russell Chatham.
