Philippe Daher is the founder and creative force behind Philippe Daher Architects and RayXander, a multidisciplinary design studio.Born in Damascus, Syria, Philippe spent his formative years immersed in the region’s rich architectural heritage. He later pursued an architecture degree in the UK, followed by studies in graphic design and marketing in Beirut.Philippe's architectural journey has taken him across London, Bahrain, Malaysia, Dubai, and Lebanon, shaping a global perspective and a versatile design language. In 2007, he returned to Damascus to establish Philippe Daher Architects, a firm known for its refined yet conceptually bold designs across a range of projects—from commercial project such as nightclubs, bars, cafés, corporate offices, to residential apartments, villas, and private residences.The outbreak of war in Syria marked a turning point in Philippe’s creative path. Forced to leave his home, he turned inward—exploring untapped dimensions of design inspired by ancient civilizations, folk traditions, and sacred philosophies. This period of introspection became the seed for RayXander, founded in Beirut in 2015.RayXander is Philippe’s platform for experimentation: a space where architecture, culture, and spirituality converge. Rooted in the sacred symmetry of Middle Eastern geometry, the studio’s work reimagines heritage through a contemporary, multidimensional lens. Philippe’s approach is organic, open-ended, and deeply reflective—bridging the conceptual with the tactile, the architectural with the poetic.
