Richard Orlinski has achieved international recognition for his monochrome, diamond cut sculptures that reinterpret cultural icons and wildlife through a distinctly contemporary lens. His work is characterized by sharp faceting, high polish, and saturated color, combining visual impact with precise industrial execution. Working primarily with materials such as resin and aluminum, Orlinski produces highly refined sculptures of bears, panthers, and his recurring figure, King Kong. These forms draw from popular culture while referencing the legacy of Pop and post Pop sculpture, translating familiar imagery into objects defined by surface, geometry, and scale. Guided by his conceptual framework Born Wild, Orlinski’s work examines the tension between instinct and control, exploring the coexistence of animal and human impulses. His sculptures propose a transformation of raw energy into ordered form, emphasizing strength, restraint, and finish. Orlinski has exhibited internationally in both institutional and public contexts, including the Palace of Versailles, Art Basel, FIAC, and Art Élysées. Since 2015, he has consistently ranked among the best selling contemporary French artists worldwide.
