Rick Secen is a Brooklyn-based artist working primarily in oil painting since 2015. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design he moved to New York City to pursue sound editing for film. His current work is informed by a love of storytelling, specifically the people he witnesses every day and the city which they are perpetually molding. Rick's compositions and painting methods embrace the chaos and rhythm of life. The works are often saturated with light and atmosphere as well as a sense of story. His work has been featured in the Brooklyn Museum among numerous exhibitions and art fairs.
