Rodolfo Valdés Montes de Oca (b. 1981, Havana) is a Cuban artist trained at the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and later at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA). Specializing in drawing and engraving, he has developed a substantial career with numerous solo and collective exhibitions in Cuba, Lebanon, Panama, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and Peru. Notable solo shows include Accidentes Marinos (2010), Del Caribe al Mediterráneo in Beirut (2012), El Paisaje. Dos Miradas (2014–15), and A cada quien su paisaje (1998–2016) in Santiago de Cuba. His work has been featured in fairs such as ME.NA.SA Art and Art Lima, and is represented in public collections including NG Art Gallery (Panama), South Border Gallery (Beirut), and cultural institutions in Cuba. Valdés’s pieces also form part of private collections across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and the Caribbean, reflecting his wide international reach.
