Sandra Fraser-Dust’s paintings invite viewers beyond ordinary awareness into a realm of imagination and emotion, where nature takes on abstract form. Working primarily in mixed media and acrylic water media, she has developed a distinctive style that merges organic inspiration with expressive abstraction. Originally from Montana, Sandra grew up surrounded by art—her mother a landscape painter—and has been immersed in creativity since childhood. She studied at Montana College in Billings and the University of Colorado in Boulder, shaping both her technical skill and artistic philosophy. A member of the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, Sandra exhibits annually in their national juried shows in New York City. Her work has received numerous national and regional awards and is featured in The Best of Acrylic Painting (1996) and American Artists of Renown (1981–82). Her paintings are held in collections across the United States, including Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California; First National Bank in Boulder, Colorado; and Paradise Valley Community College in Arizona. Sandra has exhibited internationally with a solo show in Landstuhl, Germany, and her work has been represented by galleries in Montana, Colorado, Arizona, and Chicago.
