The work of figurative oil painter Sean Cheetham is steeped in traditional portraiture with mysterious narrative leanings, and it has been included in numerous significant exhibitions, including the National Portrait Gallery in London and The National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. While he is celebrated for his technical prowess in achieving accuracy and harmony in his alla prima paintings, the artist credits his achievements to a deep understanding of drawing.
