My sculptures explore the longing to escape the confines of the present moment and slip into the freedom of imagination. Each figure appears caught in a daydream—suspended between reality and the inner worlds we visit when our minds drift. Chairs become vehicles, symbols become guides, and the figures embark on journeys shaped by fantasy, memory, and personal mythology.Clay is my narrative medium. Its softness allows me to capture fleeting thoughts, while its permanence preserves the stories I tell. My work blends influences from Christian iconography, global cultures, and historical symbolism, forming a visual languagerooted in both who I am now and who I have been. The female figure remains central to this storytelling.Costuming in my sculptures pays homage to my mother, a professional clown and seamstress whose creativity shaped my early life. Bold, layered color invites viewers closer, encouraging them to explore details and ultimately craft their own interpretations of the dreamlike worlds my figures inhabit.
