Sheefy being inspired by the spontaneity, and fine art aesthetic of Keith Haring's artwork he created this body of hand drawn sketches named "Haring Hieroglyphs". Sheefy wanted to help illustrate not only the cultural aspects of Detroit and its nightlife, but he wanted to voice his opinions on the new wave of gentrification in Detroit as well as create portraits of a few of his favorite painters. The simple, bold, and symbolic approach of Haring's work helped Sheefy decode his thoughts in a way that could be understood by everyone in a instant of seeing the ink drawings.
