Slim Aarons (1916–2006) was a renowned photographer celebrated for capturing the luxury, glamour, and jet-set lifestyle of mid-20th-century high society. Best known for candid portraits of celebrities, socialites, and the elite, his iconic "Poolside Gossip" (or "Poolside Glamour") series epitomizes vintage elegance and opulent leisure. He famously shot "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places" for publications like Town & Country, Holiday, Venture, and LIFE. After serving as a combat photographer for the U.S. military magazine Yank during World War II, he transitioned to colorful, sun-drenched scenes of wit and charisma.Unlike contemporaries Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, he declined to join Magnum Photos, embracing light-hearted glamour instead. His style echoes Horst P. Horst, Helmut Newton, and Bert Stern. His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Orlando Museum of Art, and Palm Springs Museum of Art and held in numerous collections worldwide. 12x10” / 10x10" / 16x12” / 12x12" / 20x16” / 20x20" / 30x20” / 24x24" / 40x30” / 30x30" / 60x40” / 40x40" / 50x50" / 48x72" / 60x60" * not all images print up to the largest sizes
