Sofiia (working under the name Sofika) is a Ukrainian ceramic artist based in Kyiv. A graduate of the Kyiv Institute, she discovered her passion for clay during her studies and has since developed a sculptural practice that blurs the line between ceramics and art. Her work explores silhouettes, spaces between forms, and the natural plasticity of clay, often inspired by the elegance of the human body and floral shapes.Despite the challenges of wartime Ukraine, limited access to materials, and constant disruptions, Sofiia continues to create and exhibit internationally. Her vases and sculptural pieces are particularly admired by florists, and in 2019 her works were featured in a Chloé event in Kyiv. Today, her fragile yet resilient creations stand as both artistic expression and quiet testimony to endurance in uncertain times.
