Based in London, Svetlana Semenova is a contemporary artist trained in the classical-realist tradition. Her work is firmly rooted in representational art, specifically the historical lineage of European ateliers and academies, while thoughtfully incorporating modern materials and themes. Svetlana’s practice focuses primarily on oils and charcoal, with a portfolio spanning portraiture, still life, and landscape paintings and drawings. Her technical proficiency has earned her several awards and scholarships, including recognition from the prestigious Art Renewal Center for her still life and portraiture. Svetlana has exhibited extensively across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Russia, including numerous curated shows at the Mall Galleries in London. Her formal training is equally international; she has completed courses in art and design at Central St Martins and academic drawing and painting at the School of Architecture and Design in Moscow. She is a graduate of the London Atelier of Representational Art (LARA).
