They dominate richly symbolic compositions that are often ironic, occasionally subtly absurd, always narrative, and consistently aesthetic. Biography Originally from Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, Théo Schildkamp graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. He established a successful career as an illustrator, designer, and publicist while working from his studio in the French Provence. Having since returned to the Netherlands, he now devotes himself entirely to painting.Working primarily in acrylics, Schildkamp paints in a figurative, narrative, and symbolic style. His work has been exhibited consistently for decades in galleries and art fairs worldwide, including France, Taiwan, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States.He is a welcomed and regularly exhibited artist at the Gallery of Modern Masters in Sedona, Arizona, and is also currently showing his work at Gallery AtelierSpuren in Meppen, Germany.
