Born on May 30th, 1958, in Hong Kong, Thomas inherited the artistic vision and technique of his father. As the eldest of four sons, he grew up observing his father create works of incredible beauty on canvas, knowing he would one day capture the same enchanting atmosphere in his own art. In 1978, his family immigrated to the Bay Area in California. During the 1990s, Thomas spent several years in Kula, Maui, where he developed a keen interest in nature. His love for travel is evident in his paintings, which depict the explosive volcanoes and waterfalls of Hawaii, breathtaking mountain tops from around the world, and dreamlike Chinese vistas. In his 50s, Thomas began exploring abstract art, discovering new avenues to express his ideas. His abstract works are marked by vibrant colors, intense movement, and innovative artistic development, always conveying his passion and excitement. Thomas has exhibited his work in galleries worldwide, including in the United States, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China. In addition to original paintings, his art has been reproduced as wall art for major retailers like IKEA and Costco. Beyond his success in fine arts, Thomas founded Yaosheng Ceramics in Jingdezhen, China, and has been a key ceramics supplier for William Sonoma Home and Ballard Design in the US for the past 20 years.
