TMNK NOBODY (aka Scott Patterson) was certainly somebody. Many of the issues we are talking about today were issues he painted passionately about many years ago. His artwork has purpose and meaning. Contemporary topics such as quality of life, human freedoms, and Black Lives Matter were all recurring themes in his work. Starting out on the streets, TMNK covered his mouth with a bandana to avoid recognition and becoming known as a street artist. The bandana partially hiding his face led to the moniker NOBODY that he became very well known by (see the last image of him in this listing). THE ME NOBODY KNOWS. People have written about meeting him on the streets of New York and asking him how much he wanted for a painting. His reply was I’ll take whatever you give me, for I am NOBODY. Just an artist, a nobody who uses the moniker "nobody" to describe how he feels about being an artist. Because you are nobody until somebody buys your work. TMNK NOBODY was a true artist who knew he wanted fame in the art world. TMNK NOBODY started to feel like somebody when collectors started buying his work. It was a dream for him to be a featured artist at the Museum of Modern Art. TMNK was one of the graffiti artists featured at MoMA's design and the Electric Eye Opening in 2008. With Solo Shows in New York, Italy, and Norway this so-called "nobody" has amassed an international following for his unique brand of intellectual urban contemporary art.From selling his artwork on Prince St. between Greene and Wooster, to now having his name mentioned alongside the best street artists in the world, his works are highly sought after by serious collectors. He has always signed his work TMNK (the me nobody knows). His signature is beautifully stylized and distinctively his. He felt his greatest weapon was his art.
