En 2001, il découvre Jean Dubuffet au Centre Pompidou dans le cadre d’une rétrospective, ce qui lui fait l’effet d’un réel électrochoc. Trois mois plus tard, il peint Mala Bestia, sa première toile, et peu après s’ensuit une série d’expositions à Paris, Carhaix, Nantes, Tours et même New York. Peindre librement, sans idée fixe, avec pour seule contrainte de devoir s’arrêter, voilà la devise de cet artiste qui s’est illustré dans le haut lieu dédié à l’art brut.
