My name is Veneron Yazzen. I believe art is a spiritual practice that allows others to see deeply who I am. Painting and drawing is primarily my main criteria. Most of my work surrounds memories from childhood and teachings passed onto me from my mother. A lot of the teachings are embedded from various worlds such as Navajo beliefs to philosophies surrounding spirituality. Overall I have learned to formulate my own ideas of spirituality as an artist and put it into a narrative. Through painting. All my paintings surround ideas about identity and a search for my true self.
