“The forms I give to my spheres are a reflection of my emotions.” These are the words through which Véronique Locci articulates her art, focused on glass, whose allure arises from its reflectivity, brilliance, and symbolism. From her Paris studio, the sculptor works concave glass as if it possessed the malleability of paper. She bends it, melts it, coats it, and sometimes adorns it with inlays that lend the piece a psychological dimension, capturing the subject through the plurality of angles it projects.Using glass melted in Murano, the artist brings her spherical compositions to life—works that question light through reflection and whose color transforms them into détourning mirrors, akin to a trompe-l’œil.When the viewer encounters Véronique’s work, they are absorbed into it; reflection, color, and surrounding space merge, forming a beauty that is both intimate and transformative.
