Victoria Eubanks is a visual artist and educator. She is a Denver transplant from the midwest and the strong, be-a-good-neighbor, show-up-every-day, work ethic came with her. She is active in the local art community and is passionate about teaching. Victoria leads adult classes at pre-eminent art centers throughout Colorado. She is also long time member of the MIX artist co-op in the Arts District on Santa Fe. Victoria’s work hangs in private and corporate art collections and has been included over 60 exhibitions. Most days will find Victoria working in her eclectic home studio where she literally mixes media. She combines encaustic medium, printmaking, photography, cold wax and possibly pixels in a variety of ways. Her paintings offer intentional shapes—leaves, houses, chairs, birds, all roughly rendered and reminiscent of something you can’t quite put your finger on. ___________________________________________ “My art is always about connections—head, heart, hand and viewer. I harvest memories and day dreams, I like a sense of place. I lean towards imperfection with lopsided rounds, rough lines, uneven repetition. I want the inevitable humanness, the messy inconsistencies of the marks I make, to be recognized as such. This thread of human connection is the reason I create. The 'what' and 'how' are nowhere near as important as the ‘why'."
