2020 marks Vinnie Nylon's 35th year in British street art, graffiti, and the related art gallery scene that has grown to become a global movement. His largely character-based works employ a strong use of color and dynamic forms, blended into a unique and instantly recognizable style, that have proven to be a hit with collectors internationally. As early as 1990 Vinnie Nylon has appeared on television painting works for the Children in Need charity, and has gone on to work with publishing houses and commercial brands such as Fosters beer, Reebok, Adidas originals, Sony, Greenpeace, Penguin Books, television broadcasting companies, as well as exhibitions of his own personal artwork in the United Kingdom and abroad. Following sales in many group shows, he was offered his first solo show in east London during the 2012 Olympics. Vinnie has exhibited every year in Japan since 2015, and has an established collector base there. His work explores the face and human figure in its infinite guises - from assemblage masks and dolls to pots, vases and free figuration painting... while taking inspiration from diverse art historical movements such as primitivism, outsider art, mid century advertising and 80s fashion graphics.
