Wai Wai lives and works as an illustrator and artist in Hong Kong. To bring people closer to their community, she painted illustrations of vintage shops in Hong Kong using watercolor as her main medium. In 2016, she was selected for the month-long Mokuhanga Basic Training / Artist-in-Residence Program to study and create water-based woodblock printmaking in MI-Lab, Lake Kawaguchi, Japan, where she also learnt Etegami (Japanese Folk Art) techniques. She brought the tradition back to Hong Kong and teaches regular workshops. She held her second exhibition in 2016 and has since shared her progress with pupils in some local primary schools. She holds a Bachelor degree of Arts (Hons) in Creative Media, with a major in film.
