William Rose is a figurative/portrait artist who works in oil, and has a national following. His clients include Texas A&M, the Kansas City Royals, Clint Eastwood, Kansas State University, H&R Block, the University of Kansas, and scores of others. He has private collectors nationwide. In 2020 he created a mural-sized painting celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs winning of the 2019 Super Bowl, and will be doing that again in 2023. In 2016 William created the renowned mural, Forever Royal, celebrating the Kansas City Royals winning of the World Series in 2015. In 2015, for Texas A&M, William painted action portraits of the football players Dat Nguyen, John David Crow, Johnny Manziel, and Bo Jackson, among others. He has painted 24 portraits and sports-related paintings for Texas A&M over the years. In 2014 he was commissioned to paint a portrait of iconic Kansas State football coach, Bill Snyder, which hangs in the K-State Stadium. In 2009, following a cover feature with American Artist Magazine, William was asked to produce artwork for the Clint Eastwood film, The Forger. He has also been featured in Artist Magazine's The Year's Best Art, American Artist Magazine's 70th Anniversary Competition, and International Artist Magazine's Annual competition. William’s work has been utilized on numerous publication covers including Poets and Artists Magazine, Blue Canvas, and The Artist’s Magazine. The Kansas City Star has run a feature story on William - Local Artist Catches Eye of Hollywood. He has also been featured in 435 South magazine, KC Magazine, The Independent, and KC Studio. William regularly produces the cover art for Strathmore's 400 Series Drawing Pads, one of the most popular artist drawing pads in the world. In 2015 William had his first solo museum show at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
