Yang Bai Ping (b. 1960), of the Bai nationality, was born in Yunnan, China. He studied traditional Chinese painting in the Fine Arts Department at the Central University for Nationalities in Beijing and later worked at the Kunming Art Institute in Yunnan. Over several decades, Yang traveled extensively through the mountains and rivers of Yunnan, producing nearly one thousand works of art. Many of these pieces received awards within Yunnan Province and were selected for national art exhibitions. Now retired from his professorship, Yang devotes his time to painting and to continually refine his distinctive creative style.
