Yasmina Abou Jaoude’s work explores material memory, knowledge horizons, and form through the language of the fold. Her current research centers on the fold as both a philosophical and structural gesture, generating fractal qualities from singular planes.Drawing from natural processes and fundamental science, she creates tactile sculptural works that explore movement, tension, and transformation. Born in Beirut and based in London, Yasmina graduated from the Architectural Association in London where she established the foundations of her experimental pursuits. Yasmina's past projects include working with Shirazeh Houshiary of the New British Sculpture Movement, consulted for Zaha Hadid, and contributed research to the Steering Committee of the Aga Khan Architecture Award. She is also a member of the Buckminster Fuller Institute and an ongoing advisor for The River Reactor Project, a large-scale public art initiative.
