Yuri Tsuzuki earned a B.A. in Art from Princeton University in 1989, and an M.A. in Art from from Columbia University in 1994. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums throughout New York City, Bogota, Colombia, and the Southeast. Tsuzuki's public art can be experienced throughout the City of Greenville, S.C. "When I think of my childhood, I know my memory is selective. It’s artful --a drawer full of lessons and images from East and West. Combined, recombined, filtered. The balance of here and there. The balance of my mood, the balance of sensitivity, the balance of form and shape. Stillness and movement. As an artist, my desire is to find my own place - balanced between rootedness and adventure.
